Adesso Server

The Adesso Server is the central repository of the data collected by each device, whether that device is a laptop, desktop computer, Tablet PC, or PPC.

Server Features

	SyncAdmin All of the applications built on the Adesso Platform are controlled through a dynamic web portal known as the SyncAdmin. This portal is available to all users of an application, but only administrators may make changes to users, permissions, and rules. With SyncAdmin, administrators can add users to an application, group users based on commonalities, and assign managers to each application.
	Permissions Permissions control access to tables and views in the application. Here, an administrator can select whether a user may add, delete, export, or modify records. In addition, a user may be set to see all, some, or no views on a particular table. Another setting will determine if a user may open the Adesso Designer.
	Sync Rules Synchronization rules allow an administrator to directly control what data a user views and how he/she views it. These can be either types of synchronization or direct rules to restrict data exchanged between a server and a client. 	Audit Trail The audit trail function, when activated, tracks any changes made to a table or field including adding, modifying, or deleting records or fields. This will create a new table that contains all of these changes and may be viewed as any other table in the application.
	Instantiation & Data Propagation Once an application has been created on the Adesso Platform, an administrator may select the option to use that application as a template to create new applications. By selecting the Data Propagation option, data entered into the parent application will be reflected in instantiated applications.
	Active Directory Connection Most organizations use Active Directory to manage permissions, passwords, and security for their employees. Adesso can directly integrate that information into your application. Once this connection is created, updates to Active Directory will be reflected in Adesso applications.
	Viewing Data From the Adesso SyncAdmin portal, an adminstrator or authorized user may select an application and a table within that application and see all the data in that table. This information is structured in a format identical to the tables that reside on any PC or mobile computer.
	SyncLink Direct The SyncAdmin controls allow an administrator to directly connect to other SQL databases as easily as clicking a few buttons. This functionality allows Adesso to directly correlate data with your SQL database and allows your SQL database to update Adesso.
